KEYPORT BORO (25-2430)

On behalf of the Keyport Board of Education, it is my pleasure to invite you to review the district’s New Jersey School Report Card. Keyport is located in central Monmouth County and educates students pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. We are a receiving district for students from Union Beach that attend Keyport High School.
Our class size affords students with an individualized approach to learning through differentiated instruction. We recognize that children possess unique abilities, talents, and backgrounds. It is our goal to challenge and motivate our students to strive to meet and exceed the highest levels of intellectual success. Through the use of curriculum, current textbooks, technology, and researched based best practices, students are engaged as they enter the classroom.

Keyport Public Schools nurtures and challenges the unique potential of each student. Our children are developing social and civic responsibility as well as respect for themselves, each other, and their environment. Students are educated and are inspired to become independent and creative thinkers, skillful communicators, and lifelong learners. A full range of instructional programming is offered and is inclusive of the integration of content areas. Student assessment is ongoing through a variety of formative and summative assessments. This enables faculty to determine student growth necessary to meet the requirements of the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.

Cultural Diversity is one of Keyport Public Schools’ many strengths. Diversity is embraced by the staff and students to create an outstanding educational environment. One of our keys to success is collaboration with students, parents, and community members. Examples of collaborative relationships include the Central School PTO, the Red Raider Parents’ Club, Rotary, Kiwanis, Keyport Recreation, Athletic Youth Football, rescue squad, fire company, Keyport Public Library, Garden Club, as well as local businesses. The members of our community provide scholarships, organize events, and assist our students in giving back to the community. With the support of our community, our schools will continue to grow and develop in their knowledge, skills, and values.
The Keyport school community is dedicated to providing its students with a quality educational program instructed by highly qualified teachers. Information contained within the report card provides a snapshot of our schools. Statistical, demographic, academic and local information is included.

The entire Keyport community, Board of Education, administration, faculty, and support staff work to provide a unique variety of learning experiences to all of our students. As Superintendent of Schools, it is my privilege to work with the children, staff, parents and residents of Keyport. If you have any questions about the information contained in the report card or would like to visit any of our schools, please feel free to contact the building principals or me personally.
