Welcome to Warren Hills Regional High School, where we provide a student centered approach to address the unique academic, social, physical, and emotional needs of our learners.
Our School:
Warren Hills Regional High School offers a comprehensive educational program to students in grades 9 – 12. Students attending Warren Hills are residents of Washington Borough and the townships of Franklin, Mansfield, Oxford and Washington. The current enrollment for the 2012 – 2013 school year is 1,276 students, supported by 123 dedicated faculty.
Updates and renovations to the original facility, 1968, have been made in 2005 and 2008 adding classrooms, a new gymnasium, cafeteria and office space. During this past school year we have made upgrades to our auditorium and main lobby to provide a more welcoming environment for the school community.
Our media center is well equipped with traditional research materials as well as a variety of technological tools that are available to students and staff, including desktop and lap top computers (all teachers now have a lap top for school use), projectors for power point presentations, smart boards and various software programs and research databases to assist students and staff.
Nineteen mobile laptop carts are located for student use throughout the building. Instructional space consists of, sixty-one total classrooms, core content classes and elective offerings. Our students have the opportunity to work and study in well equipped science labs, technology labs, art rooms, visual/performing arts rooms, two gymnasiums, industrial technology rooms, and classroom space for both mainstreamed and self-contained special education students. The building is safe and secure with the services of six resource staff members, who also make use of a comprehensive camera/safety system.

Our Academic Programs and Supports:
All students benefit from our rotating block schedule that supports 55 minute classes with curriculum based on the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards, as well as the new, Common Core Standards. The comprehensive program of study, taught by our highly qualified staff, includes courses in mathematics, with a math support, language arts, science, social studies, health/physical education, and world languages. In addition, a wide variety of electives are offered to students, which include, art, music, performing arts, business, technology and industrial technology. School to work programs are offered through our Cooperative Business Education Program, WINGS. This program provides the students with the experience of running an actual business. Educational teams and leadership experiences are enhanced through partnerships with local businesses.
A full continuum of special education services is available, as is English as a Second Language. Our students benefit from the services of our Guidance Counselors, full-time Child Study Team, and Student Assistance Counselor/Anti-bullying Specialist. Along with our School Safety Team consisting of all stakeholders, Warren Hills Regional High School continues to review data and offers a variety programs and interventions to prevent and address harassment, intimidation and bullying. Warren Hills continues to maintain a positive working relationship with the Warren County School Based Youth Services Program. The School Based Program is an on-site counseling service that meets with students during and after the school day. The program offers social opportunities and off-site activities for all students.
In addition, our website and our “real time” student information system, “Infinite Campus,” allow us the opportunity to keep in constant communication with parents and the community to better assist our students.
The 9th Grade Academy program implemented in September of 2011 has been evaluated and upgraded for the 2012-2013 school year. This initiative is designed to assist our incoming 9th grade students with their transition to the high school setting. The program focuses on academic achievement as well as character education programs.

Additional Opportunities and Activities:
Warren Hills High School is a member of New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association and offers our students 24 varsity athletic teams. Along with athletics, our co-curricular program is varied and diverse. We offer clubs and organizations that have academic, social and performance aspects. Our programs are well subscribed and our advisors are dedicated to provide the students with a valuable experience.

Parent and Community Involvement:
Warren Hills High School is proud of its collaboration with parents and community partners. Warren Hills supports a local chapter of the Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA), which meets to provide programs on topics of interest to our district and school communities. Our Special Education Advisory Council meets monthly to support students, parents and programs. Parents are invited into the school for many events, including our various orientation programs, concerts, awards assemblies, Back To School Night and the commencement ceremony. In addition, the high school is working collaboratively with the middle school and district as we embark on the Middle States Association’s accreditation process through the Excellence by Design protocol for strategic planning. This process allows us to incorporate the vision, and insight of all stakeholders to better serve our students. During this past school year, the district planning team worked to create and adopt the new district mission statement.

Warren Hills High School offers programs and opportunities that recognize the talents of all students. Student involvement in school and community events is encouraged and well documented. Warren Hills will continue to focus on providing programs and initiatives that will prepare our students to be positive, contributing members of an ever-changing global society.
