Clinton Public School is a Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Eight elementary school located in the historic Town of Clinton in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The school serves approximately 500 students from the Town of Clinton and the Borough of Glen Gardner. CPS is a dynamic, progressive, and caring school that values the positive support it receives from parents and the community. The mission of Clinton Public School is to inspire our students to become contributing members of society who are independent, innovative, life-time learners equipped with the necessary skills to meet the demands of our ever-changing world.
At CPS, we never lose focus on our primary goal, educating the children of our school. Through our character education program, we work to establish an environment where students model respect, responsibility, caring, honesty and citizenship for each other. Every student is empowered to become a leader and actively influence their school.
Our staff is committed to the ideals of professional learning community: the belief that all children can learn, the establishment of a collaborative environment, and a focus on results rather than intentions. Our intentions are always to provide every student with the best possible learning experiences. However, when the results show learning below our expectations, we must adjust our practices to yield improved results. Our belief is that teachers and students go hand in hand as learners or they donât go at all.
